Ramsey’s walk-off lifts Toppers to sweep of No. 19 UT Southern in historic fashion

Blue Mountain, Miss.- BMCU softball continued their historic season in dramatic fashion on Saturday, sweeping No. 19 UT Southern at the BMCU Sportsplex, highlighted by a walk-off win in extra innings and a record-breaking milestone for the program.
In game one, the Toppers delivered one of their most thrilling victories of the season, rallying for a 6-5 walk-off win in eight innings.
After falling behind early and trailing late, Blue Mountain Christian showed resilience throughout the contest.
Aspen Teague delivered two key RBIs, including the game-tying hit in the seventh inning, before Bre Ramsey sealed the victory with a walk-off double to left center.
Anna Harrison added two RBIs in the win, while Ramsey and Teague each recorded two hits as the Toppers totaled 10 hits offensively.
In the circle, Madison Montgomery earned the win with a complete game performance, tossing eight innings while allowing four earned runs.
Montgomery showed toughness throughout the outing, taking a line drive off the body midway through the game and remaining in the circle to finish the victory.
The Toppers carried that momentum into game two, putting together a composed and complete performance in a 7-2 win to finish the sweep.
Blue Mountain Christian built an early lead before breaking the game open in the fifth inning behind Ramsey's three-run triple.
Ramsey once again led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance and four RBIs, while Aspen Teague and Mikaylah Fuqua added multi-hit performances as the Toppers recorded nine hits in the win.
In the circle, Neely Cooper delivered a dominant outing, tossing a complete game while allowing just two runs (one earned) on five hits and striking out seven, helping the Toppers control the game from start to finish.
With the sweep, Blue Mountain Christian not only secured a signature win over a ranked opponent but also set a new program record for most wins in a single season, continuing what has been a historic year for the Toppers.
