Cleveland, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian's softball team battled through two dramatic games on Tuesday, combining timely hitting, resilient pitching, and mid-game momentum swings to sweep a doubleheader against Delta State University on the road.
In the opener, the Toppers found themselves in a tightly contested battle from the first pitch. Blue Mountain Christian got on the board in the third inning when

Blue Mountain Christian added another run in the fourth when
Karen Wisher's RBI double plated Laklyn Nichols, extending the lead to 3–1.
Delta State responded in the fifth with a surge that briefly swung momentum, but the Toppers answered immediately.
In the sixth,

DSU added one final run in the seventh, but the Toppers held firm to secure a 6–5 victory. Fuqua, Wisher, and Barrier led the offense, while

Game two followed a similar script, with momentum swinging throughout.
Blue Mountain Christian jumped out early as Fuqua drove in a run in the first, followed by an RBI single from
Kelsey Camp.
Delta State responded to tie the game, but the Toppers regained control in the fourth when

DSU answered again in the middle innings, building a 6–3 lead behind timely extra-base hits. Refusing to fade,
Blue Mountain Christian mounted another rally in the sixth, highlighted by Savage's three-run home run, knotting the game at six.
The contest remained deadlocked until the eighth inning, when aggressive baserunning and execution paid off, as
Bre Ramsey scored the walk-off run on a wild pitch, sealing a 7–6 victory.
Anna Harrison collected four hits in the nightcap, Savage finished with four RBIs, and
Gail Wisher earned the win in relief, throwing 4.1 shutout innings to close the door on DSU.
By day's end, Blue Mountain Christian showcased its resilience and depth, winning two tightly contested games through clutch hitting, aggressive baserunning, and steady pitching.
The sweep over Delta State on Tuesday underscored the Toppers' ability to respond in pressure moments and finish games late.
