Toppers sweep doubleheader behind balanced offense and steady pitching

Blue Mountain, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian softball turned in a strong all-around performance on Friday, sweeping a doubleheader against United States Sports University Eagles with a pair of victories at home. 
The Toppers combined timely hitting, depth throughout the lineup, and consistent pitching to earn wins of 8–6 and 8–0.
In the opening game, the Toppers navigated a back-and-forth contest before pulling away for an 8–6 victory. 
Blue Mountain Christian finished the game with 10 hits and scored runs in six different innings, applying steady pressure throughout. 
Kelsey Camp led the offensive effort with a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate, adding a double and an RBI. 
Maryn Macri added a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, while run production was spread across the lineup with RBIs from Anna Harrison, Aspen Teague, Karen Wisher, and Laklyn Nichols. 
In the circle, Gail Wisher worked the full seven innings, holding off multiple rallies to secure the win as the Toppers answered each challenge with timely offense.
Momentum carried into the nightcap as Blue Mountain Christian delivered a dominant performance in an 8–0 shutout victory. 
The Toppers broke the game open with a six-run third inning and never looked back, scoring eight runs on eight hits while playing clean defense behind their pitching staff. 
The lineup continued to show balance, with contributions throughout the order as Blue Mountain Christian capitalized on scoring opportunities and limited United States Sports University to minimal chances offensively. 
Strong pitching and error-free defense allowed the Toppers to control the game from start to finish and close out the sweep.
With the two wins, Blue Mountain Christian completed a doubleheader sweep, showcasing offensive depth, composure in tight moments, and the ability to take control early when opportunities arose.
