Blue Mountain, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian delivered an offensive showcase on Thursday, erupting for 18 runs in a commanding 18–2 victory over United States Sports University.
After surrendering an early two-run homer in the opening inning, the Toppers responded with poise and power, taking control of the game and never looking back.
United States Sports University struck first with a two-run blast in the top of the first inning to take an early 2–0 lead.
BMCU answered immediately in the bottom half of the frame, plating two runs to even the score at 2–2 and quickly shifting the momentum.
From there, the Toppers' offense came alive in dominant fashion. Blue Mountain Christian broke the game open in the second inning, stringing together timely hits and capitalizing on opportunities to surge ahead 6–2.
The momentum only continued to build in the third before a massive fourth inning put the contest firmly out of reach.
The Toppers exploded for double-digit runs in the frame, combining aggressive base running, clutch extra-base hits, and consistent pressure at the plate to extend the lead decisively.
Offensively, several Toppers turned in standout performances.
Maryn Macri drove in four runs to anchor the middle of the lineup, while
Kelsey Camp matched her with four RBI in a powerful showing.
Chloe Shelton added three RBI with timely hitting, and
Anna Harrison provided a spark at the top of the order, scoring three runs, collecting multiple hits, and swiping two bases to keep the pressure on the defense throughout the afternoon.

Madison Montgomery earned the win, working five innings and limiting United States Sports University to just two runs on two hits.
Montgomery settled in after the first inning and controlled the tempo, allowing the Topper offense to build its lead comfortably behind her steady performance.
After a brief early deficit, Blue Mountain Christian responded with authority, scoring 16 unanswered runs to secure the run-rule victory.
