Marietta, Ga.- The Volley Toppers continued their tour of the Peach State on Saturday afternoon, facing conference opponent Life University in a hard-fought match, falling 3-1.
Marissa Gerleman led the Toppers in kills, recording 11 on the day. She was followed closely by Rachel Stegall, who tallied 8 kills and hit an efficient .304, and Valeria Velez, who matched her with 8 kills of her own.
Reanna Brown continued her strong stretch of play from the setter position, earning yet another double-double with 23 assists and 11 digs.
On the defensive front, Gerleman added six block assists to her offensive totals, while senior libero Kora Wilson anchored the back line with 24 digs in the four-set battle.
BMCU will return home next Friday night for a conference matchup against rival William Carey University.
