Blue Mountain, Miss.- The Volley Toppers hosted the SSAC Match of the Week on Friday night against the William Carey Crusaders, coming up short in four sets (3–1).
Salice Speed delivered another strong outing, recording a double-double performance with a team-leading 12 kills and 13 digs.
Marissa Gerleman and Rachel Stegall both added nine kills apiece to the Topper attack.
From the setter position, Reanna Brown led the way with 26 assists, while Peyton Kidd contributed 14.
Defensively, senior libero Kora Wilson anchored the back line with 16 digs, while Caleigh Grace Turpin and Speed each tallied two blocks at the net.
The Volley Toppers will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon as they face Loyola at Tyler Gym.
