MT. VERNON, Ga. – Blue Mountain Christian Volleyball extended its win streak to seven games here Friday night, dispatching Brewton-Parker Christian in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-20) in SSAC play.
Blue Mountain's front line was a big problem for the Barons, holding them to just .086 hitting on the evening, while the Toppers hit .259 as a team.
Salice Speed would lead with eight kills and 10 digs, while
Marissa Gerleman had six kills at a .455 clip.
Rachel Stegall had three assisted blocks, while
Caleigh Grace Turpin and Gerleman had two each for BMCU.
Reanna Brown and
Peyton Kidd provided the assists, as Brown dished out 20 and Kidd chipped in 10.
During the seven-game streak, the Toppers have only dropped four sets to its foes, while notching four straight-set victories.
BMCU (13-2, 5-0 SSAC) returns to SSAC action Saturday on the road, taking on Life University at 12 p.m. CT in Marietta, Ga.
