Mobile, Ala.- The Toppers traveled to Mobile University for an SSAC matchup and, after several weather delays, delivered a dominant 4-1 victory over the Mobile Rams.
In the 20th minute,
Erick Braga sent a beautiful pass down the left sideline to
Karim Swedi, who took care of the rest to give the Toppers an early 1-0 lead. The Rams answered nine minutes later with a well-placed free kick from just outside the box, knotting the score at 1-1 going into halftime.
After the break, BMCU's offense came alive.
Dipanda Silva Jr. broke the tie in the 67th minute with a powerful strike to put the Toppers ahead 2-1. Less than ten minutes later,
Yushi Nagamatsu connected on a pass from
Daniel Nunes to extend the lead to 3-1.
Just thirty seconds later, Murillo Andrade put the match out of reach with a goal assisted by
Yalin Alici, sealing the Toppers' commanding 4-1 win.
It was a tremendous team effort from the Toppers, who remain undefeated in SSAC play to start the 2025 season. BMCU will continue conference action on Saturday with a matchup against No. 8 William Carey University.
