Blue Mountain, Miss.- BMCU Volleyball kept the victory parade rolling this week with another SSAC win, this time over conference foe Mobile.
It was a heavyweight showdown featuring standout performances across the board for the Volley Toppers.
Sophomore star
Salice Speed continued her dominant campaign, leading the way with 16 kills and 13 digs. She wasn't alone at the net—
Marissa Gerleman added 12 kills, while
Rachel Stegall followed with 10.
From the setter position,
Reanna Brown once again put on a show, recording 32 assists while serving up 5 aces and collecting 12 digs.
Peyton Kidd complemented her perfectly in the 6-2 offense, dishing out 16 assists of her own.
Mobile is well known in the SSAC for their outside hitters, but the Volley Toppers' back line rose to the challenge.
Kora Wilson anchored the defense with a jaw-dropping 32 digs in five sets—outshining both teams with her unmatched performance. Sophomore
Abbi Williams joined the effort with 21 digs, while
Helen Roy, returning from injury, led the team at the net with two blocks.
With the win, BMCU extends its streak to six straight victories and will look to carry that momentum into next Friday's matchup at Brewton-Parker Christian.
