Mckenzie, Tenn.- The Blue Mountain Christian men's soccer team opened its 2025 campaign on the road Saturday night, falling 3-0 to Bethel University.
The Toppers generated eight shots in the contest, three of which were on target. Sophomore forward
Daniel Nunes was active offensively, placing two of those shots on goal, but Bethel keeper Camargo stood tall to keep the sheet clean.

Luan Nascimento impressed in his collegiate debut, recording seven saves to anchor the Topper defense.
The Wildcats broke the scoreless deadlock in the 39th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Bethel added two more goals in the second half to secure the victory. The Wildcats are coming off a strong 2024 season in which they finished 8-6.
BMCU will look to bounce back Monday afternoon for an exhibition match against the Mississippi University for Women Owls. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
