Tifton, Ga.- The lady Toppers took on Abraham-Baldwin on Friday afternoon in an SSAC series.
Madison Montgomery went six innings pitching for BMCU. Four runs came across the plate for the Stallions, but Montgomery was only charged for three of those runs.
In the fourth inning, the Stallions broke the scoreless tie with a four-run inning off a single and an error.
MJ Mitchell hit a rbi single in the fifth inning, scoring the lone run for the Toppers in the game.
The Stallions held on to win game one, 4-1.
The lady Toppers battled back in game two of the series.
Cooper Neely went three innings and a third, giving up three runs but only one was earned.
Abby Keller followed her in relief and shut down the Stallions, holding them to four hits in her three innings of work.
The Stallions scored three in the fourth inning, but a big 6
th inning for the Toppers led them to victory.
Lillie Johnson got the offensive scoring for the Toppers started with a single to left field.
Bre Ramsey got her pitch and hit a rbi single to score
Iris Farve.
Johnson scored on an error by the Stallions shortstop.
With the game tied at 3-3,
Julianna Ingram hit a clutch single to score
Maryn Macri and Mitchell to take the lead.
Keller shut down the ABAC line up and BMCU was able to take game two and split the series.
