McKenzie, Tenn.- BMCU Softball looked sharp in their mid-week doubleheader versus Bethel on Wednesday afternoon.
The lady Toppers gathered seven runs and had nine hits in game one against the Wildcats.
Maryn Macri had an impressive game, hitting 3-4 with two RBIs.
Kelsey Camp looked fantastic as well, going 2-4 with three RBIs.
Jana Shaw went four innings in her start, pitching for the lady Toppers. She gave up four runs but added a couple of strike outs in her solid performance.
Madison Montgomery came in relief of Shaw and got the save in her three-shutout innings, allowing just two hits in her appearance.
The lady Toppers went on to take game one from Bethel behind great timely hitting and solid pitching.
In game two, the bats got hot for BMCU, as they would mercy rule the Wildcats 15-4 in six innings.
Bre Ramsey looked flawless at the plate, going 4-4 with four RBIs.
Camp added another terrific performance at the plate, hitting 2-4.
Lillie Johnson barreled a ball over the fence in the sixth inning to give her three RBIs in game two.
MJ Mitchell came across to score for the lady Toppers four times on the day, which is an outstanding job as a leadoff hitter.
Abby Keller pitched the entirety of game two for BMCU and gave the Wildcats no chance to battle back from their deficit. She went six innings, allowing four runs and giving up just six hits. She struck out three batters as well.
It was an all-around great performance for the lady Toppers on the day.
They will look to continue their hot streak this weekend in an SSAC matchup versus UT Southern in Pulaski, Tennessee.
