BMCU and Stillman Split Four Game Series

Blue Mountain, Miss.- On day two of the four game series, the lady Toppers and Tigers split again.
Neely Cooper was in the circle to start game three in the series for BMCU, and she went four and one-third's innings while allowing three earned runs.
Stillman got on the board first and gained a four-run lead through the first five innings of action.
Avery Lumpkin started pitching for the Tigers and went seven inning and surrendered three hits and one earned run.
Maryn Macri scored the lone run for the lady Toppers off a double to left field by MJ Mitchell.
Janna Shaw and Abby Keller came in relief and threw scoreless innings in their efforts for BMCU, but Stillman took game three in a four to one run victory.
Bri Langley got the start pitching for the lady Toppers in the final game of the series.
Langley went four innings and allowed three earned runs with two strikeouts.
Iris Favre responded to Stillman's two run inning to start game four with a single to right field that scored Neely Barrier.
In the second inning, Bre Ramsey hit her first homerun as a Topper, that excited the crowd, to take the lead three to two.
Carolyn Carter brought the Stillman dugout to life in the third inning with a homerun to left field to tie the ball game.
Madison Montgomery came in relief for BMCU and did not disappoint.
Montgomery held the Tigers scoreless in her three innings inside the circle.
In the sixth inning, the lady Toppers recaptured the lead and did not let it go off a fielder's choice by Lillie Johnson that scored Skylar Lee.
Montgomery shut the door on Stillman and earned the win and the save in the progress.
BMCU softball will be playing in Blue Mountain against Bryan College on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
