MOBILE, Ala. – Blue Mountain Christian Men put up a strong performance here Saturday against SSAC foe Mobile but would eventually come up short 71-64.
The Toppers saw four players hit double figures in scoring, with
Vincent Douglas going for 16 and five boards, while
Jalen Boyd-Savage and
Bryan Maxey both had 12 each.
Ikechi Ajukwas would chip in 10 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort for the Toppers.
Mobile star Ezra McKenna proved why he's one of the best big men in the nation, leading all scorers with 23 points and eight rebounds.
B.J. Comer would chip in 16 points also for the Rams, while as a team, Mobile would shoot close to 50 percent from the field on the day.
The Mobile bench would outscore the Toppers 17-12, while also winning total rebounds at 34-27.
BMCU (10-15, 3-11 SSAC) gets back to conference work Thursday, hosting Brewton-Parker in Blue Mountain Thursday, February 13 with tip set for 7:30 p.m. CT.
