New Orleans, LA.- The lady Toppers and the Wolf Pack went down to the wire into the final seconds of the fourth quarter, where the Wolf Pack were able to escape with a victory.
Charnita Brooks went to work early in the first quarter. She put up eight points for the lady Toppers.
Isabella Carlson was productive in the first quarter of play as well, with three rebounds and three points. She then was on fire from the three-point line with four made threes on five attempts in the second quarter.
BMCU was defiant on defense in the first half causing nine turnovers and stole the ball six times.
The score was tied after the end of the first half at thirty-four to thirty-four.
It was a team effort for the lady Toppers in the third quarter as they scored twenty points to be down three going into the fourth.
With two seconds left to go in the game, a foul was called that sent Caitlin Travis to the free throw line for Loyola.
She hit both of her attempts at the line to give the Wolf Pack the win and survive the lady, Toppers.
Brooks, Carlson, and Kirk had great performances scoring fifteen points each in the game.
