Montgomery, Ala.- The lady Toppers came up just short versus the Faulkner Eagles on Thursday night in Montgomery, Alabama.
It was a tightly contested ball game through the late afternoon for the lady Toppers and the Eagles.

Crystin Guy, and
Charnita Brooks got BMCU out to a one-point lead after the first quarter.
The Eagles responded in the second quarter to take a four-point lead at the halfway point in the game.
Guy had an efficient third quarter with seven points and Mackenzie Williams put up three points and three rebounds to keep the deficit to four points going into the fourth quarter.
In the start of the fourth quarter, Williams went to work to give the lady Toppers the lead by one point.
Throughout the remaining portion of the fourth quarter, both teams kept battling for the lead.
Guy hit some clutch free throws just before the three-minute mark to tie the game at fifty-five points.
Stout defenses on both sides made sure that there would not be another point scored for the last three minutes of the fourth quarter.
It was off to overtime, and Guy scored all six points for BMCU. She went 4-4 from free throws and hit a layup to keep the game going into double overtime.
Faulkner found some life in double overtime to walk away with the win behind an eleven-point five-minute period.
Guy led the team in scoring with twenty-one points and corralled five rebounds in her impressive performance.
Williams continues to have a great freshman campaign with a double-double performance of fourteen points and fourteen rebounds.
BMCU will have their final home game of the year and senior day this Saturday at noon versus UT-Southern.
