Montgomery, Ala.- A late offensive push by Faulkner led them to victory over BMCU on Thursday night.
The Toppers and the Eagles found themselves in a heated battle throughout the first half of the ball game.
Ray Witt scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds in the first half to narrow the deficit to one point going into halftime.
Jalen Boyd-Savage had nine points, and Witt added seven to his performance in the second half.
Both teams did not shoot the ball at high percentages in the second portion of the game, but Faulkner happened to go on runs when the Toppers would cut down the lead.
At one point in the last ten minutes of the game, the Eagles led by twelve. Their lead fluctuated at times, but they were able to hold on to beat the Toppers in the end.
Witt ended his night with fifteen points and a rebound shy of a double-double performance.
Boyd-Savage also hit the double-digits, scoring twelve in the game.
BMCU will play their last game of the season at home for senior day against UT-Southern at 2:00 pm.
