BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian Men's season came to an end here Saturday on Senior Day, as the Toppers dropped the final game of the season to UT-Southern 82-72.
Four Toppers hit double figures in scoring, but it wouldn't be enough to knock off the tough Firehawk team.
Ikechi Ajukwa led the Toppers with 17 points and six boards, while
Vincent Douglas finished his collegiate career with 15 points and four boards.
Bryan Maxey and
Rameon Witt, Jr. both concluded their collegiate careers also, with Maxey scoring 11 points with five boards and Witt notching 10 points and five rebounds.
The Toppers shot well, as they would hit for 42 percent from the field, but a double-double by UT-Southern's Vito Vujovic offset it, as he scored 16 points and pulled down 15 boards.
BMCU closes out the season 11-17 overall and 4-13 in SSAC play.
