BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – The hot streak continued Saturday for Blue Mountain Christian Women, as they seared their way to a 77-59 SSAC victory over Middle Georgia State, giving them five straight victories.
Per lately, BMCU was able to basically put the game away in the first half, putting up 41 points on the Knight defense.
Crystin Guy would lead the Lady Toppers with 17 points and three steals, while
Charnita Brooks posted 15 points.
McKenzie Williams continued to make her presence known in the paint, scoring 12 and pulling down seven boards.
Isabella Carlson was just two points shy of another double-double, scoring eight points and pulling down 11 boards with four assists.
Rebecca Walter would chip in six points with four blocked shots for BMCU.
BMCU would drain nine bombs from deep, with Guy knocking down three.
The Lady Toppers dominated everywhere on the floor, including the boards where they outrebounded MGA 39-31 while shooting 41 percent from the floor.
BMCU (13-8, 5-6 SSAC) will look to run their win streak to six Thursday, as they travel to Loyola (La.) for an SSAC showdown in New Orleans, La. with tip set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
