BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian and Bethel matched up here Monday in a cross-state showdown, with the visiting Wildcats winning over the Toppers 90-71.
Bethel opened with a 15-0 run before the Toppers could finally get a bucket at the 14:28 mark by
Davis Altrofs.
The Toppers would cut into the Bethel lead several times throughout the game but couldn't overcome the early deficit.
Michael Hill would lead the Toppers with 15 points, followed by
Kam Carter who had 14.
Esrael Yant chipped in nine points for BMCU, while
Luka Goshadze had five points with six rebounds.
The Wildcats were hot all night, shooting 52 percent from the floor, while the Toppers would shoot 38 percent.
BMCU would commit 22 turnovers on the night, while forcing 17 on the Wildcats.
BMCU (1-2) returns to action tomorrow night in Blue Mountain, hosting Crowley's Ridge at 7:30 p.m. CT.
