NEW ORLEANS, La. – Blue Mountain Christian made sure it rained on Loyola's Senior Day here Saturday, defeating the Wolf Pack in five sets 3-2 (25-18, 24-26, 12-25, 27-25, 15-11) and serving up a dose of revenge from an earlier loss this season.
Coming off a five-set loss Friday night to William Carey, the Toppers didn't look very tired, as the Saturday victory gave them their eighth win in the SSAC this season.
Salice Speed led all hitters with 15 kills, while 
Rachel Stegall and 
Marissa Gerleman both had 12 apiece.
Peyton Kidd would have a double-double for the Toppers, digging out 15 balls and setting 15.  
Reanna Brown would lead in assists with 24, while 
Kora Wilson had 29 digs to lead the defense.
Valeria Valez and 
Abbi Williams chipped in 17 and 16 digs, respectively.
The Toppers' service game was on point, as they knocked down 10 aces with Velez and 
Hailey Oliver leading with three each.
Blue Mountain, Loyola and William Carey are all currently at four losses in the SSAC, while Mobile is locked in at No. 1 with an 11-2 record as the season winds down.
BMCU (18-6, 8-4 SSAC) returns to SSAC play Friday at home against Brewton-Parker at 6:00 p.m. CT.
