Blue Mountain, Miss.- The lady Toppers strike fire offensively in second straight game as they came away with a dominant win versus Oakwood University.
BMCU came out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter. They held the Ambassadors to just six points while scoring twenty-six of their own.
Crystin Guy led the lady Toppers in scoring in the first quarter with eight points, and she was perfect in her field goal attempts.
Rebecca Walter found her rhythm early on and did not look back. She had a stat line of six points, five rebounds, and two steal just in the first quarter of action.
Isabella Carlson and
McKenzie Williams kept the momentum going for the Toppers in the second quarter.
Carlson was dishing out dimes left and right, while Willams scored nine points with three rebounds.
Lindsey Murr had five rebounds and four points in the second quarter as well.
The amazing team effort of the lady Toppers helped them take a thirty-two-point lead into halftime.
Walter became a magnet to the ball. She put up a dominant eighteen points inside the paint in the second half.
Guy and Murr added twelve points together in the third quarter to keep the party going.
In the end, it was a strong showing for BMCU as they stole the ball defensively twelve times and scored one-hundred points.
Walter had a phenomenal game with a double-double and a game high of twenty-four points
and eleven rebounds.
Three more lady Toppers found their way to double-digit performances.
Guy scored fifteen points with four rebounds and two steals.
Williams had another solid afternoon with a double-double game of thirteen points and eleven rebounds.
Murr shined for BMCU as well with ten points and six rebounds.
A great team performance for the lady Toppers.
They will look to continue their offensive hot streak against Thomas University in an SSAC matchup on Thursday at 5:30 PM.
