Dalton, Ga.- BMCU traveled to Dalton, Georgia on Saturday to face off against Dalton State College in an SSAC matchup.
Dalton State entered the contest as a tough opponent for the Toppers as they have a perfect record in conference play so far this year.
The Roadrunners shot the ball with a field goal percentage of over fifty-eight percent in the first half. They also shot over fifty percent from the three-point line.
The Toppers were able to produce thirty-four points in the first half with Jason Hunt scoring nine.
Ikechi Ajukwa came off the bench and scored eight points in the first half.
The impressive shooting performance from Dalton State gave them a commanding lead going into halftime.
The Toppers were able to outscore the Roadrunners in the second half with help from Hunt and Bryan Maxey.
Defensively in the second half, BMCU was able to create nine turnovers and five steals.
The Toppers held Dalton State to just nine percent from behind the arc in the second half. 
In the end, it was an uphill battle against the Roadrunners to overcome the first half point deficit.
Hunt finished the game with twenty-two points for BMCU.
Maxey scored fifteen points and tallied three steals.
Ajukwa had a good game off the bench for the Toppers. He finished with twelve points.
The Toppers will return to Tyler gymnasium in a matchup against Thomas University on Thursday at 7:30 pm.
