TIFTON, Ga. – Blue Mountain Christian Men picked up its second straight SSAC victory here Saturday, defeating conference newcomer Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 82-76.
Jason Hunt continued his assault on opposing defenses, as he led the Toppers with 33 points, just two shy of his season high. Hunt collected a double-double on the day, his second of the season, pulling down 10 rebounds.
Vincent Douglas and
Bryan Maxey would both chip in 16 points for the Toppers in the conference win.
Despite ABAC shooting almost 55 percent from the floor, the Toppers would shoot 50 percent from the field, while also forcing 16 turnovers by the defense.
Hunt and Douglas would both drain three long balls on the afternoon, with Hunt also grabbing three steals.
The Toppers would dominate the boards also, outrebounding their opponent 35-23.
BMCU (9-11, 2-7 SSAC) returns to action Saturday, January 25 against Dalton State in SSAC play at 1 p.m. CT in Dalton, Ga.
