BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian Women opened the 2024 SSAC season here Thursday, dropping 0-9 to Mobile.
Eight different Rams would score, with Jill Helleforth leading the way with two.
Mobile keeper Ebba Elweroth would complete the clean sheet, saving one shot.
Blue Mountain's lone shot would come from Madison Satlnecker.
Helleforth's brace came in the second half, a netter at 69:07 and another at 71:24.
The Rams scored three goals in the first, but broke loose with six in the second, capped by late goals from Taylor Davidson and Rebecca Ryan.
BMCU (0-2, 0-1 SSAC) have a tough test Saturday, as they welcome nationally ranked No. 3 William Carey to Blue Mountain in SSAC play.
