McKenzie. Tenn.- The Toppers took down the IUC Crimson Pride on Thursday evening.
BMCU was able to get a rhythm quickly in the first half as they shot fifty-six percent on field goal attempts and sixty percent from three.
In the second half, it was all about the same shooting wise. The Toppers shot forty-three percent in field goal attempts and sixty-two percent from the three.
Three Toppers had a standout game.
Jason Hunt had twenty-seven points with nine points coming from behind the arc and making sixty-six percent of his field goals.
Israel Momodu, a 6'9 forward, had a double-double as he had sixteen points in the game to go along with ten rebounds.
Bryan Maxey, the senior guard, had sixteen points in the game also.
It was a clean game on both sides as the Toppers only turned the ball over ten times, while IUC turned it over nine times.
BMCU had a solid game from the charity stripe. They were thirteen of nineteen from the foul line.
The Toppers were able to hold onto the lead for majority of the game. At one point, BMCU led by as many as twenty-six points.
BMCU will be in action tomorrow at 1:00 pm in a rematch game versus Southeastern Baptist.
