Blue Mountain, Miss.- The Toppers just fall short to the Faulkner Eagles at home Saturday afternoon.
The Toppers were leading at halftime by four with a good performance by Jules Teboul. Teboul had seven rebounds which gave the Toppers second chance opportunities.
Ray Witt Jr. started the game for the Toppers and was the leader in scoring at the half with six points.
Jalen Boyd-Savage and Duke Vincent were great off the bench in the first half for the toppers with each scoring five points.
Suddenly, in the second half, the Eagles caught fire from three. They went eight for sixteen from three in the second half alone.
Yet, a tremendous second half performance from Boyd-Savage kept the Toppers in it. Boyd-Savage was three for seven from deep.
Although he was able to put up a hefty seventeen points off the bench, the Toppers sadly could pull out the win in the end.
Jason hunt was second on the team in scoring with eleven points. Witt Jr rounded out the game with eight points. Teboul finished the game with ten rebounds.
The Toppers will be back in action Thursday at Point University at 7:30 pm in another conference game.
