Blue Mountain, Miss.- The lady Toppers outmatched their opponent Central Baptist which led to a twenty-point margin of victory.
A new addition to the team,
Tenyzia Lathan led BMCU with nineteen points. Lathan also had two blocks on the defensive end.
Maddie Kirk was one point shy of a double-double with nine point and ten rebounds. Six of those were offensive rebounds.
Lindsey Murr put up nine points as well for BMCU.
The lady Toppers made a statement defensively causing sixteen turnovers. Nine of those turnovers were steals.
BMCU had too much depth for the CBC Mustangs to compete with as the lady Toppers bench put up forty-four points. Comparatively, Central Baptist only had three points coming off the bench.
Lady Toppers continue to play hard, and they will play a rematch game Saturday at Tyler Gymnasium at 1:00 pm versus Tougaloo.
