Blue Mountain, Miss.- The lady Toppers locked the Bulldogs up on early Saturday afternoon and threw away the key.
Mia Jones gave the BMCU homecoming crowd a warm welcome as she had a double-double with twenty-two points and ten rebounds.
Charnita Brooks was second in scoring for the lady Toppers in the game with thirteen points. Brooks also had four rebounds.
Kathryn Echols scored twelve points in the game with two coming from behind the arc.
The story of the game for BMCU was rebounding. They out rebounded Tougaloo by fourteen. The lady Toppers had an impressive twenty-three offensive rebounds.
The defense held its ground causing twenty-seven turnovers.
BMCU scored twenty-eight points off those turnovers.
BMCU will be back in action next Tuesday at Southeastern Baptist at 5:30 pm.
