Porter claims 100th career block as BMCU cruises to sixth straight victory

CONWAY, Ark. – Blue Mountain Christian is rolling at the moment, winning their sixth straight match here Friday night by defeating Central Baptist 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-18) in non-conference play, while A'Dasia Porter etched her name in Topper history with her 100th career block.
Porter would go on to eclipse the 100-block mark in the game, assisting two stuffs on Central Baptist kill attempts.
Rae Ann Hall had her way with the Mustang defense, as she swatted 12 kills at a .385 clip, while Helen Roy belted nine kills at .250.
Olivia Ashton got in on the fun with six kills of her own, while Kaytie Rutland had five.
Peyton Kidd and Hailey Oliver split duties in the 6-2 rotation, as Kidd dished out 24 assists and Oliver with 16.
Jaiyah Jackson led the way on defense with 13 digs, while Daisy Cordle had 12.  Salice Speed and Sammie Smith both chipped in two assisted blocks for the Toppers in the victory.  Cordle would also have four service aces on the night.
BMCU (14-5, 5-3 SSAC) returns to action Tuesday, October 15 as they host Xavier (La.) at 6 p.m. at Tyler Gymnasium.
