WEST POINT, Ga. – Blue Mountain Christian Men got back in the win column here Saturday with a 3-2 SSAC victory over Point thanks to a game-winning goal by
Daniel Perez with just 21 seconds left to go.
The victory gave the Toppers their first conference win of the season, as Perez would collect the brace.
The Toppers would put up two goals in the first half of the match, with Perez scoring unassisted at 12:50.
Point answered with an unassisted goal from Brandon Cervantes just 10 seconds later to tie it at 1-1.
Blue Mountain went ahead 2-1 at 15:15 when
Jasper Hofland drained an unassisted goal for his team to give them a 2-1 lead at the break.
After long play in the second, Point would tie the game at 2-2 when Jacob Illmer would score at 70:24.
With just 21 seconds left to play,
Daniel Perez would hit a 90-footer past Skyhawk keeper Callum Thompson to give the Toppers the conference win.

Alvaro Lopez wouldn't collect any saves, while his team would get off six shots on goal.
The Blue Mountain defense would hold the Skyhawk offense to just two shots on goal in the win.
BMCU (3-5-1, 1-2-1 SSAC) returns to SSAC action Saturday, October 7 against Life University with first kick slated for 6 p.m. CT.
