Quick start gives Toppers victory over FHU

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian men earned a hard-fought victory over Tennessee foe Freed-Hardeman Tuesday, winning 2-1.
The Toppers first goal came quicky just a few minutes in on a goal by Karim Swedi off an assist by Daniel Perez.
Blue Mountain followed that up in the second half with a netter from Caio Brandao off an assist from Ruben Kuypers.
The Lions would get their first goal of the match from Ian Mattheus in the second half at 74:31 to make it 2-1 BMCU.
Down the stretch was tense, as Freed made several attempts to strike, but the Topper defense held on for the win.
"The guys played extremely hard today and it paid off with a victory," BMCU head coach Micheal Azira said.  "We are continuing to improve in all aspects of the game, and we believe we will only get better as the season progresses.  It was a good win today."
