BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – No. 23 Rust College's powerful offense was on display Monday in Blue Mountain, as the Bearcats defeated the Lady Toppers 88-50 in non-conference play.
Rust would see three players hit double figures with Diamond Sweats leading the way with 17 points and six rebounds.
Niya McGuire chipped in 14 for Rust and Shuntorri Rodgers added 13 points.

Charnita Brooks put on her own offensive show in the loss, scoring 21 points and going 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
After a close first quarter, the Bearcats would run out to a 43-22 at the half by putting up 22 points in the second quarter behind a couple threes from Sweats.
Every player from Rust contributed, with its bench scoring 35 points.
Blue Mountain's second leading scorer was
Deja Pryor with seven points, while
Crystin Guy chipped in six points.
Rebecca Walter chipped in four and pulled down six rebounds.
The Topper offense struggled from deep, going 5-of-23 from three-point land, while Rust hit 13-of-31.
BMCU (1-5, 0-1 SSAC) skids to a four-game losing streak and will return to action against another scoring powerhouse Freed-Hardeman who is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25. The two teams will meet in Blue Mountain Tuesday, November 28 with tip set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
