BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – The Thomas Knighthawks came into Blue Mountain and pulled a 3-2 victory over the Lady Toppers here Thursday afternoon.
Thomas would get its first goal at the 22:19 mark of the first half on an unassisted goal from Elsebeth Andersen to give her team a quick 1-0 lead.
Blue Mountain would answer right before the half as Anna Comas found the back of the net to tie it at 1-1.
The Knighthawks would score again at the 58:39 mark in the second half on a goal by Pearl Mortimer off an assist from Kaitlyn Herb.
Another goal landed between the sticks for Thomas at the 85:53 mark when Herb scored off an assist from Aquene Tollefson to make it 3-1.
The Toppers would get an unassisted goal from Annabel Trauschke off a rebound at 86:28, but couldn't find another for the tie.
Caitlyn Fox played all 90 minutes at keeper for Blue Mountain, notching seven saves.  
BMCU (5-9-1, 3-5 SSAC) returns to SSAC action Saturday against Faulkner in Montgomery, Ala. at 5 p.m. CT.
