BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian found a big SSAC victory here Thursday to kick off Fall Break, defeating Brewton-Parker 3-1.
The fun got started early for the Toppers, as
Adrianna Parsons scored a goal at the 6:46 mark off an assist from
Madison Zamudio to make it 1-0.
The Toppers got their second goal of the first half at the 25:20 point, when
Paula Garrido found the back of the net to make it 2-0 before the break.
Brewton-Parker would eventually score in the second half, getting a goal from Kathleen Fisher unassisted at 87:25.
Blue Mountain would finish off the Barons at the 88:29 mark, as
Madison Zamudio found the back of the net for the Toppers.
Blue Mountain had their way with the Barons offensively, keeping the ball on the BPC for most of the game, getting off 11 shots on goal to Brewton's nine.
Caitlyn Fox was sharp between the sticks for Blue Mountain, stopping eight shots for the victory.
BMCU (4-8-1, 2-4 SSAC) return to SSAC action Saturday at 1 p.m. CT as they host Middle Georgia State in Blue Mountain.
