BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian Men and Brewton-Parker played to a 2-2 draw here Thursday night in SSAC play.
Blue Mountain's first goal would come at the 36-minute mark in the first half, as
Jasper Hofland found the back of the net off an assist from
Eneko Casas to go up 1-0 and stay that way for the rest of the half.
The Toppers would get off six shots on goal in the first half while the Barons had none, as the Blue Mountain defense swarmed.
Brewton-Parker would storm back in the second half with their first goal at 56:44 by Rayane Sid Ahmed, unassisted.
Blue Mountain would go ahead on a penalty kick from
Ruben Kuypers, giving them the 2-1 lead.
The Barons would tie it at 78:56 on Ahmed's second goal of the night that got around Topper keeper
Alvaro Lopez, and the game would remain stalled the rest of the way.
BMCU moves to 3-5-3 overall and 1-2-3 in the SSAC.
