An Olive Branch native, Sara Eason captains the program she assisted under during the 2023 season.
Eason has been an assistant at DeSoto Central High School from 2021-23, head coach of DeSoto Legacy from 2016-21 and currently assisting two elite teams for Memphis Juniors Volleyball Association in Cordova, Tenn.
"My coaching career began ten years ago, so I am extremely passionate about the game of volleyball, as well as the opportunity to coach young women to be great leaders and wonderful human beings, on and off the court," Eason said.
During her tenure as assistant at BMCU in 2023, the Volley Toppers went 26-2 overall and a perfect 15-0 in conference play, won the SSAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships and made an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
Eason is a 2009 graduate of Northpoint Christian School and earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Mississippi State University in 2013.
"I'm beyond excited to return to a program I love with such dedicated and hard-working student-athletes, and I look forward to adding to this successful program at BMCU," Eason commented.
Fowler commented, "We are extremely happy Sara will be joining us as head volleyball coach. Having already been on staff here, she understands our mission and tradition at BMCU, and we know she will continue that. She has a wealth of knowledge leading from the sidelines, and that will serve her well as she guides our program."
