Reid Gann

Reid Gann enters his fifth year as head volleyball coach.  Gann graduated from Belmont High School in 2005. He attended Northeast and Itawamba Community College, where he played baseball.  He graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education from the University of North Alabama in the Spring of 2012.  He later earned a master's degree in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Western Kentucky University in the Spring of 2021.

He began his volleyball coaching career at Belmont High School in the Fall of 2012.  During a three year stint, Gann posted a 59-23 record including a 2013 Division Championship.  He was the head volleyball coach at New Albany from 2015-2018.  He posted three consecutive twenty-plus win seasons, including back-to-back division championships.

Gann’s 2017 and 2018 high school teams were selected by the  Daily Journal as the class two team of the year. Gann posted a 90-25 record at New Albany High School.

In Blue Mountain's first year of competition, 2019, Gann led the program to a post-season apperance in the SSAC Tournament.

In 2021, Gann led his team to a 30-9 overall record and an SSAC Tournament Championship in just it's third season of existence.  The same year, his team qualified for the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

In 2022, Gann led the Volley Toppers to a 34-3 season, repeating as SSAC Tournament Champions and securing the program's first SSAC Regular Season Championship.  BMCU put together a 22-game winning streak in 2022, the second longest in the nation.  His team also made its second straight NAIA National Championship Tournament appearance.  Gann's accomplishments led to being named the SSAC Coach of the Year.

During his tenure at BMC, Gann has coached numerous all-conference selections.
