Jermael Bingham was officially introduced as the fourth Men's Basketball head coach in Blue Mountain modern era on Friday, Jan 19, 2018.

"It's an honor and privilege to be named head men's coach," Bingham said.  "My roots are planted here in Blue Mountain, so it's a blessing for me and my family to be a part of this great Christian institution.  I look forward to not only coaching young men, but helping to mold and guide them in their personal lives off the court."

Jermael Bingham begins his third season as Head Coach for the Toppers.  Coach Bingham is a former member of the men’s basketball team at BMC. 

Bingham played one year at Blue Mountain College before served as a graduate assistant for BMC and was responsible for all scouting and recruiting.

Bingham earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology and a minor in kinesiology at Blue Mountain College.

Bingham returned to the hardwood at Blue Mountain College in 2013, spent the next four seasons as an assistant coach. While with the Toppers, he served under head coaches J.D. Parker. Bingham assisted in a variety of duties which include player development, recruiting, opponent scouting/game plan adjustments, and on-floor coaching. Bingham helped coach seven All-Conference players and one All-Americans. During his time with the team, the topper made 3 postseason appearances. 

Before coming to BMC, Bingham played 2 years at Dyersburg (Tenn.) State Community College. Bingham averaged 12.9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals a game. He was named Most Improved Player his first year and Best Defensive Player his second year. 

Bingham, a graduate of McNairy Central High School (Selmer, Tenn.) was a 4-year letterman, where he averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals a game. Also during high school, Bingham was a 2-time all-district team and 2nd team all-tournament team recipient. Bingham was also named to the Golden Circle All West Tennessee All-Star team. 

Coach Bingham and his wife Elizabeth reside in Corinth, Miss. with their 7-year-old son, Kingston and Aven, 2 year.
