Blue Mountain, Miss.- The Blue Mountain Christian softball team closed out its final midweek of the season in dramatic fashion, sweeping the Bethel Wildcats with an 8-1 victory in Game 1 followed by a 10-9 walk-off win in Game 2.
With the sweep, the Toppers improve to 34-12-1 on the season.
Blue Mountain Christian opened the day with a strong offensive showing, pulling away from Bethel in Game 1. 
After surrendering an early run in the first inning, the Toppers responded in the third as Mikaylah Fuqua delivered an RBI single to tie the game. 
Aspen Teague followed with a go-ahead RBI single, and Kelsey Camp added another run-scoring hit to push the lead to 3-1.
The Toppers broke the game open in the fourth inning. Bre Ramsey came home on a Bethel error, and Neely Barrier added a sacrifice fly before Teague delivered the biggest swing of the game, driving a two-RBI triple to right center to extend the lead to 7-1.
Fuqua added another RBI in the sixth to cap the 8-1 win.
Fuqua and Teague led the offense with two hits apiece, combining for five RBI, while Karen Wisher sparked the lineup with a three-run performance and two hits. 
Anna Harrison also recorded two hits as the Toppers totaled 10 in the opener.
In the circle, Madison Montgomery earned the win after allowing just one run across four innings, and Janna Shaw secured the save with three strong innings of relief.
Game 2 presented a much different challenge, as Bethel built an early lead and carried an 8-1 advantage into the fourth inning. 
The Toppers began to chip away when Maryn Macri launched a two-run home run to left field, sparking the comeback.
Blue Mountain Christian continued its push in the fifth inning. 
Vaye Savage delivered an RBI single, Bre Ramsey followed with a run-scoring hit, and Laklyn Nichols drew an RBI walk to trim the margin to 8-6.
After Bethel added a run in the top of the seventh, the Toppers entered their final at-bat trailing 9-6. 
The rally began with an RBI single from Fuqua before Teague added another run-scoring hit. Camp worked a bases-loaded walk to tie the game at 9-9, setting the stage for the finish.
With the bases still loaded, Savage stepped in and delivered the decisive moment, sending a single through the infield to bring home the winning run and complete the 10-9 walk-off victory.
The Toppers finished with 17 hits in Game 2, led by Teague's four-hit performance and Harrison's three-hit outing at the top of the lineup. 
Savage added three hits and two RBI, including the game-winner, while Camp recorded two hits and drove in a pair. 
Macri's two-run home run proved to be a key turning point as the Toppers erased the seven-run deficit.
In the circle, Bri Langley got the start, while Gail Wisher provided a steady presence in relief to earn the win, tossing 5.2 innings and allowing three runs while striking out four to help guide the Toppers through the comeback.
The comeback win capped a resilient performance from Blue Mountain Christian, who continued to show their ability to respond in pressure moments late in the season.
The Toppers will close out the regular season on Friday with a road doubleheader against the UT Southern Firehawks.
