Toppers sweep Crowley’s Ridge, exploding offensively in the nightcap

Blue Mountain, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian University put together a complete day at the ballpark on Tuesday, grinding out a narrow win in the opener before erupting offensively in the nightcap to complete a doubleheader sweep of Crowley's Ridge College at home.
The opener unfolded as a tightly contested back-and-forth affair, with runs at a premium and momentum constantly shifting.
Blue Mountain Christian struck first in the second inning, manufacturing a run through aggressive baserunning and situational execution, as Gavin Foley drove in a run to give the Toppers an early edge.
Crowley's Ridge answered in the third with a two-run home run to briefly take the lead, but the Toppers responded immediately when Cody Presley delivered an RBI single, tying the game and restoring momentum.
On the mound, Blue Mountain Christian received a steady start before turning the game over to the bullpen, which proved pivotal.
As the contest moved into the later innings, the Toppers reclaimed the lead in the sixth when Jake Meilstrup lifted a sacrifice fly, allowing Reise Thomas to score.
Crowley's Ridge answered once more in the seventh to even the game at three, but Blue Mountain Christian delivered the decisive moment moments later.
With two outs, Jarret Morris ripped a clutch RBI double, bringing home the go-ahead run that sealed the 4–3 victory.
Presley finished the opener with multiple hits and an RBI, Foley added an RBI at the top of the lineup, and Morris provided the defining swing.
Out of the bullpen, Caden Moore earned the win, throwing three scoreless innings while allowing just one hit, stabilizing the game and giving the offense the chance to break through late.
That momentum carried directly into game two, where the Toppers' offense erupted early and never relented.
Blue Mountain Christian applied immediate pressure, building a multi-run lead through aggressive baserunning and disciplined at-bats.
Although Crowley's Ridge trimmed the deficit with a three-run inning, the response from the Toppers was emphatic.
Blue Mountain Christian exploded for a massive inning that broke the game open, stringing together extra-base hits and run-producing at-bats throughout the lineup.
Yaidel Perez reached base consistently and scored four times, setting the tone offensively, while Cody Presley followed his strong opener with three RBIs in the nightcap.
Ross Polizzi added a multi-RBI performance, and production continued to come from up and down the order as the Toppers pushed the game out of reach.
On the mound in game two, JD Klug picked up the win, working five innings and allowing three runs while keeping the Toppers in control after early traffic.
The bullpen closed the door late, as Jarret Morris tossed two scoreless innings in relief, limiting Crowley's Ridge and allowing Blue Mountain Christian to continue adding to its lead.
The Toppers finished the nightcap with 18 runs, turning the game into a display of depth, balance, and sustained pressure.
By day's end, Blue Mountain Christian paired resilience with explosiveness, winning two very different games behind clutch late hitting, balanced run production, and dependable pitching. The doubleheader sweep on Tuesday showcased the Toppers' ability to grind out close wins and dominate when momentum turns in their favor.
