New Orleans, La.- Blue Mountain Christian went toe-to-toe with Loyola on the road Thursday night, turning in a composed and competitive performance in a tightly contested SSAC matchup that ultimately ended in a 72–65 decision. 
From the opening tip, the Toppers matched Loyola's intensity and refused to let the game slip away, responding to early pressure with poise and keeping the contest within reach throughout all four quarters. 
BMCU stayed connected through the middle stretches of the game, showing resilience and composure as momentum shifted back and forth in a physical, hard-fought battle.
McKenzie Williams paced the Toppers offensively with a strong scoring effort while also making her presence felt on the boards. 
Kathryn Echols added consistent production and steadiness in the backcourt, while Maddie Kirk delivered an all-around performance that impacted the game on both ends of the floor. 
Isabella Carlson directed the offense with confidence, helping Blue Mountain Christian generate quality looks and maintain offensive rhythm against a disciplined Loyola defense.
The Toppers will play their final regular season game against William Carey on Saturday.
