New Orleans, La.- Blue Mountain Christian stepped into an SSAC road test Thursday night in New Orleans, taking on Loyola in a physical conference contest that concluded with a 96–66 final.
From the opening tip, the Toppers competed with pace and purpose, working to establish rhythm against a Loyola team that found early momentum on its home floor.
BMCU stayed engaged through the first half, answering runs and continuing to push the tempo while navigating a demanding conference environment.
As the game moved into the second half, the Toppers maintained their approach, continuing to battle possession by possession against a Loyola squad that sustained its offensive pressure down the stretch.
Esrael Yant anchored Blue Mountain Christian with a strong double-double performance, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Toppers inside.
Michael Hill added 13 points, while
RJ Robinson and
Jonathan Baker each contributed 12 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the lineup.
The Toppers will play their final regular season game against William Carey on Saturday.
