Blue Mountain, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian University women's soccer routed the Oakwood Ambassadors on Friday afternoon in dominant fashion, earning an 8-0 victory.
The offensive attack was relentless from the start, with three Lady Toppers recording two goals each. Junior forward
Callie McDonald set the tone early with a long-range strike in the 3rd minute to open the scoring.
Cassidy Remson followed with goals in the 25th and 34th minutes, the latter coming after she pulled the keeper off her line and calmly dribbled past for the finish.
Madison Stalnecker added her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute and struck again just after halftime with an incredible near midfield shot in the 46th.
McDonald notched her second goal in the 60th minute after pressing the Oakwood defense from midfield. EJ Scott capped off the scoring surge with a goal in the 74th minute to seal the 8-0 win.
The Lady Toppers carried a 5-0 lead into halftime and never looked back, controlling the match from start to finish in their most commanding performance of the season.
