West Point, Ga.- The Volley Toppers were determined on Friday night, grinding out a hard-fought victory over conference foe Point University.
The opening set set the tone for the night as BMCU edged out a thrilling 32-30 battle before continuing to control momentum across the match.
Reanna Brown was outstanding as the floor general, posting a double-double with 31 assists and 13 digs. She connected often with
Salice Speed, who powered the attack with a team-high 18 kills while also adding 18 digs to her stat line for a balanced performance.
Middle blocker
Caleigh Grace Turpin was dominant at the net with 9 kills on a .412 hitting percentage, while also contributing two block assists and a block solo on defense.
Defensively, the Toppers were relentless. Speed led with her 18 digs, followed closely by libero
Kora Wilson with 17.
The win marks BMCU's fourth straight as they continue to climb in the 2025 campaign.
The Volley Toppers will look to extend their streak next Friday night against the Faulkner Eagles.
