Conway, Ark.- Blue Mountain Christian Volleyball traveled to Central Baptist on Tuesday night and came away with a decisive sweep over the Mustangs.
The Volley Toppers' offensive attack proved too much for their opponent, racking up 39 kills across the three sets.
Salice Speed led the way with 11 kills, while
Marissa Gerleman followed with 7.
Setting up the hitters was the duo of
Reanna Brown and Peyton, who combined for 29 assists on the night.
Brown directed the offense with 18 assists, continuing her steady play early in the season.
Defensively, the Toppers were equally impressive.
Kora Wilson anchored the back row with 12 digs, while
Caleigh Grace Turpin led the net defense with 4 block assists and one solo block.
As a unit, the front line totaled 14 block assists to stifle the Mustang attack.
With the victory, BMCU Volleyball continues its strong start to the season. The Toppers now turn their attention to New Orleans, where they will compete in the Big Easy Kickoff Tournament this weekend.
