In a neutral showdown on day one of the SSAC Softball Championship Tournament in Decatur, Ala., the Blue Mountain Christian University Toppers faced a tough contestant in Abraham Baldwin, ultimately falling short with a final score of 3-0.
The Toppers, who are now standing at an overall season record of 24-25, couldn't manage to overcome the offensive plays of the Abraham Baldwin team. Key players for the Fillies were L. Metts, L. McGee, and E. Humphrey, who collectively scored the game's only runs. L. McGee notably contributed with two RBIs, while E. Humphrey not only brought in one RBI but also delivered a home run, enhancing the Fillies' lead in the 3rd inning.
