In day one of the SSAC Championship tournament  at Rockabillys Stadium, Jackson, Tenn., the Toppers faced a tough challenge against MGA Knights, resulting in a 9-2 defeat.
Blue Mountain's efforts were led by Hayden Redding, who managed to score a run and secure a single along with a stolen base.
Ty Roberson also crossed the plate once for the Toppers.
The offensive highlight came from Ross Polizzi, who contributed significantly with a crucial 2 RBI single during the third inning.
Despite these efforts, the Toppers could not overturn the lead established by the Knights.
Starting pitcher Benji Webb went three and one-third's innings, and Jack Hearn came in relief for four and two-thirds innings.
The Toppers will be back in action tomorrow for Day 2 of the SSAC Championship Tournament at 4pm against William Carey.
