Toppers roll past SBC in dominant fashion

Blue Mountain, Miss.- The Blue Mountain Christian University Toppers put together a complete performance on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 94–47 victory over Southeastern Baptist at home.
BMCU set the tone early with defensive intensity and efficient offense, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy scoring opportunities.
The Toppers jumped out to a commanding first-half lead, scoring 42 points while holding Southeastern Baptist to 21.
Michael Hill led the early charge, attacking the rim and getting to the free-throw line, while Gavin Shannon controlled the tempo and created scoring chances for teammates.
The momentum carried into the second half as the Toppers continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor.
Blue Mountain Christian outscored Southeastern Baptist 52–26 after the break, using balanced scoring and depth to pull away.
The Toppers finished the game with 21 steals and 11 blocks, consistently disrupting Southeastern Baptist's offensive rhythm.
Hill finished as the game's leading scorer for BMCU with 20 points, adding three rebounds and two steals. Jamarion Harvey chipped in 12 points, while Jonathan Baker provided a spark off the bench with 10 points.
Shannon posted a well-rounded performance with nine points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals, and Chris Tackett dominated the glass with a team-high 16 rebounds to go along with four points, three blocks, and three steals.
The Toppers will look to carry the momentum forward as they face Mobile next Thursday before Christmas break.
