BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain Christian shot down Tougaloo here Saturday, easily winning 78-45 in non-conference action.
Rebecca Walter had her way with the Tougaloo defense, as she scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Maddie Kirk had another solid outing for the Toppers, scoring 14 and dishing out four assists, while Kathryn Echols had 10 points with four assists.
A total of 11 Lady Toppers scored in the rout, as they would shoot 45 percent from the floor and go 10-for-25 from deep.
The Blue Mountain defense swarmed the Bulldogs all game, forcing 26 turnovers.
The Lady Toppers play two more times before opening the SSAC schedule November 20 against Faulkner in Montgomery, Ala., with an exhibition tilt against NCAA DI Southern Mississippi Monday in Hattiesburg, Miss. at 6 p.m. CT, and then Southeastern Baptist Saturday in Laurel, Miss. at 4 p.m. CT.
